The Matraman Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) officers today are building as many as 13 infiltration wells.
Those wells are made on the yard of SMPN 7 Utan Kayu Selatan (3 wells), on the yard of SMK Pembangunan, Jalan Pengayoman, Utan Kayu Utara (5 wells) and on the yard of SMKN 5 Kebon Sereh, Pisangan Baru (5 wells).
459 Infiltration Wells Have Been Built in South Jakarta"Of 13 wells, 5 of them have been completed and the rest are still under construction. It is targeted to be complete in the coming October," expressed Matraman Sub-district SDA Taskforce Coordinator, Agus, Thursday (9/10).
He added they were built manually using a concrete buis with one meter diameter and two meters depth.
"Our hope is these wells can accommodate water in large quantities in order to minimize flooding in the region," he hoped.
